Some of our friends threw a fun Halloween Party last weekend. It's always fun to get together with everyone and eat yummy food, talk, play games, etc. Here are a few pictures from the night...I've been so bad at taking pictures lately, so I don't have very many of people's costumes, which I'm sad about! There were some really good ones!
Here are Doug & Rachel...so hilarious...a personal favorite!! And they totally acted the part to make it even better.David and I...nothing too fancy...we weren't even sure if we were going until the last minute, so when we did decide to go, I was stressed out about a costume...good thing that Megan rescued us and helped us come up with a cute idea. Our friends Travis and Stephanie had the same train of thought going with the baker/bun in the oven thing, but Stephanie made an actual oven to fit around her...very cute and creative! Wish I had a picture of it....
Bron and Megan...should have seen Megan's sweet boots!
Anthony and Kristie...a little Napolean and a Harley chick...Kristie needed to be standing to get the full effect of her outfit--she's hardcore!
The doughnut eating game...so funny and very entertaining!!

The Big News!!
So today was the big day of the ulTraSouND...and the news is we are having
AnOTheR GirL!!! We are very excited, although David says he is starting to feel outnumbered. But he sure loves "his girls!!" It is always so fun and amazing to see the little baby moving around in there...so tiny, yet already so alive. She is an active one!! At first it was hard to get a good picture of things because she was moving around so much. Financially, having another girl is best...I don't NEED to shop for anything right?? Then why do I feel this STRONG urge to hit the mall today for some cute, ruffly, pink stuff?? This baby surely needs some of her very OWN clothes too right?
In other news, I took Maia back to the eye doctor today to have them check things out with her eye (Brown's Syndrome in her left eye, in case you missed the earlier posting about this!) Everything looks really good...he is not concerned about it at all and we will just follow up in another year. He said that by then they would be able to test her vision and see if it was affecting that....he said they use pictures to test the vision of toddlers and he didn't think that she was old enough to recognize and say what she saw. I told him I was pretty sure that she would do just fine with it, so he said he'd give it a try. He was so amazed when she could call out everything she saw "cake, tree, house, horse, duck, hand, car!" and with so much enthusiam. He said all the two year old's he's seen just sit there and don't say a word, so I had a pround mama moment! And better yet, her vision is really good. So all of that was really positive news for us!!
And lastly, some cute pictures of our latest excursion...The Great Pumpkin Farm!! I love going to this place, it is so much fun! They have this little thing called the "Boo Barn" which is like a very, very mild haunted house. We took Maia in there thinking she would love it, seeing how she is obsessed with "Halloween Stuff" (as she likes to call it!). But I guess it was a little too much for her, so we ended up taking the "scaredy cat exit," but we got some good pictures of her beforehand!! Another mean parent moment on our part...she is scared and saying "I don't like it!!" and we are laughing because she is so funny about it and usually LOVES that stuff. Okay, I'll stop rambling and let you enjoy the cute pictures!
Doesn't this face just say it all??Yep, definitely time to leave the Boo Barn....kinda cute though!
Maia, all grown up...
Just for fun I had to throw in a couple of pictures we took exactly a year ago at the pumpkin farm...look how much she has changed in just a year!! I didn't remember her being THAT bald! Now she has a full-grown MULLET (Rachel if you are reading this...we need a little bit of advice in this area!!)
The family picture...
And Maia with her good buddy Lucas. She has her arm around him, which she did by herself, not prompting from any of us--it was pretty cute!

Love this girl!!
So I've just been wondering lately how it is possible for you to love this tiny little person (Maia) so much and have been worried that I won't have enough love for my second child...I'm sure that's not the case, but seriously, Maia is such a sweetheart (okay, she has her moments!), and I just can't get enough of her--she is seriously fun to hang out with!! I am all about the girly girl stuff she is into...the princesses, the dresses, the shoes, the jewelry, it really is so fun. She is so energetic and full of personality! Some of the cute things she has been saying lately:
"Hold your hand Mom"
"I miss Daddy" or when I come home from being gone she'll say "I miss you momma!" It's the sweetest thing!
"My turn" or "No, I do" for EVERYTHING!! She is very independent!
"See you later"
"Come here Mom"
"Hmmm" and she'll put her finger on her chin when she says it, like she's really thinking about something
"Oh, thank you" for just about anything...she is a very thankful girl, she is always saying thank you!
"Hug, Mama" When she wants a hug
"Love you" and she always signs it when she says it.
This next one is a new one...she was working outside with David today when David's shovel broke. She couldn't see him, but she heard the shovel break, so she ran around the shed and asked "Dad, what happened?" She's a smartie!
She is still very much full of hugs and kisses and snuggles, which I love. I hope she never gets too old for that!! She is my baby girl (who is growing up too fast!) and I love her so much!!
Here are some darling pictures of out my sweet girl that my good friend Megan took a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Megan!! They turned so cute!! I had to scan them in, so hopefully they still look cute!) Megan made the cute bow too...it's really for her little girl, but Maia borrowed it for the photo shoot so she could be a little dolled up, it was so adorable...it made me really wish that Maia would leave SOMETHING, ANYTHING in her hair!
Love her squished up cheek in this one!
A cute one of just Maia and Momma..
...and one of my favorites of the whole family!
