NYC!!

Right after the semester ended we packed up our car and headed to NYC to vacation there for a few days with David's brother and his family (Shawn, Christy, London) and his little sister Julie. The kids did amazingly wonderful the entire time we were there (including the 6 hour car ride each way!) and we had a great time. There is so much to do I feel like we only scratched the surface. I have scrapbooked the highlights of our trip(a very daunting task seeing how we took hundreds of pictures!) Anyway, here they are....(Rachel you inspired me to get these done:)

Grand Island Half Marathon

This past weekend my good friend Katie and I ran the Grand Island 1/2 Marathon...it wasn't one of our fastest races but we finished and had a fun time doing it (well a fun time until the sickness hit at the end of the race...something about the heat/humidity/wind combination that didn't settle well with our bodies after 13 miles!). Anyway, it was a great farewell race to run with her. Katie is moving in just a few weeks and to say I'm sad would be an understatement. She has been the most perfect running partner (right up there with my sis Sienna) and I really don't want her to leave me. For any of you that run, you know that finding a running partner that is right on your pace is extremely difficult. We've been getting up at 6am the past few months to train together and I'm going to miss our morning running talk. She is such an amazing person and I have learned so much from her!
And here's my little fan club...the best one of all of us together...so don't mind Elsie's coughing face:)
