Elsie's Photoshoot

Once again, I have been a terrible blogger! Even David mentioned something about me needing to update the blog, so I know its bad! But tonight I got on a roll and did like 4 posts! This first post is of Elsie's 4 month photoshoot...they are soooooooo adorable. Thank you so much Megan! I really don't know what I would do without my little personal photographer! I certainly wouldn't have all of these precious pictures of my family, that's for sure! Here is our sweet baby girl at about 4 1/2 months...

I love this sweet picture of Elsie(below)...I think she looks like my Grandma Harris in it.
My good friend Lindsey sent me these little shoes and choker when Elsie was born! Aren't they adorable?
Our happy little girl! She is so much fun! She is getting more interactive with Maia and it is the cutest thing to see them together. I captured a video of Maia making Elsie laugh so hard the other day....it was such a tender moment. I love these little girls so much!

Toronto

Another fun trip we took was to Toronto, Canada...supposedly the "new york city of canada" We went with our good friend's the Fox's (minus their two boys who were staying with their grandparents) and packed TONS of stuff into two days...looking at all of the pictures just makes me exhausted! This first picture is the view from our hotel room...we stayed in a really nice hotel. I became a fan of Hotwire after we booked this great hotel for cheap!

The first stop was the Casa Loma castle...so amazing is all I can say!

Then we hit up China Town...
Maia had had it by the time we were walking to Little Italy to get dinner...she just couldn't last a second longer!
We ate dinner in a quaint little restaurant in Little Italy. It is so fun to try out new places!

The second day we took a ferry over to the Toronto Islands. Here is Maia posing in the flowers while we are waiting to board the ship.

The islands have this little amusement park called Centreville. Maia loved all of the rides...which wasn't many seeing how they were SOOOO expensive!!

These next few pictures are of this cute little place called the Old Historic District (or something like that). Anyway, it is a pedestrian only area with cute little shops, cafes and cobblestone streets. We had lunch at a little cafe here it was so cute!

Catch-Up

Once David was finally done with his dental board exam,(which he PASSED, yeah!!) we were able to enjoy a little bit of summer before he started back to school. There are so many fun things to do around here, we had such a great time doing little day trips and spending time together as a family! I didn't bring my camera to every place we went (of course!) so here are the highlights...
Maia and I made David this welcome home sign for when he was done with the boards...Maia loved painting her hand and stamping it on the poster!

Brown's Berry Patch: we picked blueberries and raspberries and played on in this really fun playplace they have.



Beach days: this picture is from Beaver Island, but we spent a day at Crystal Beach too


Akron Falls:
There is this beautiful park and waterfall just 30 minutes from here...when you first enter the park, there is this big "Cinderella" carriage. Maia was tickled pink when she saw it and just had to play in it!

Tampico

At the end of June, David had the opportunity to go to Tampico, Mexico for a week to do dental work. He had the time of his life and got some really good experience. We just got these pictures from the Tanner's (Thank You!!) Here are some of the highlights...I am not going to put descriptions on any of them because I don't know what they are of and David isn't here to narrate, so just pictures it is. He did say that he was so humbled by the way these people live. They literally live in a dump. They use the dump to find things to build their houses with, etc. The dental clinic was set up in a local elementary school there. David said that the people would get dressed up in their best clothes to get their dental work done. It is so sad that people have to live that way!! It makes me so grateful to have what I have and to live where I live.

This picture(below) is really sweet...they brought little prizes to give to the little kids (jumpropes, sunglasses, etc.) and you can just see how happy it makes these kids!

And yes, my husband came home looking like a mexican...let me assure you that the facial hair didn't last more than 12 hours!!
