Aunt Julie's Wedding

I figured since I'm on a roll with this blogging business, I might as well keep going right??  And if I must be honest, right now I'm blogging to avoid doing other things that really need to get done (dishes, laundry, etc.) but that I REALLY don't feel like doing.  Yes, this is a great excuse!  Anyway, back in September we took a quick weekend trip to Utah for David's sister's wedding.  It was so fun to have the whole Marchant family together.  They are such a fun family.  Here are a few pictures to document the event.

Here is our little family.  As I was looking through these pictures tonight, I just felt so overwhelmed by how blessed I am.  I am married to a rock solid man.  He is 100% committed and devoted to me, to our family, and to the gospel.   He treats me so good (my mom often reminds me of how good I have it:). He puts up with me and rarely, rarely complains (when he does, it is DEFINITELY warranted lol). I have 3 beautiful children, who are (occasionally) demons, but most of the time, wonderful and sweet.  I have such a good life.  How did I get so blessed??  Anyway, on to the pictures.  

The Marchant Fam...

 The WHOLE fam...at this point Mason was SOOO over getting pictures taken.  Can you tell that David was a little eager to be done too?? Lol.  Such a perfect picture.

I wanted to take a few pictures of my kids while they were dressed up and cute.  Why is that so hard to do??? Maia is always ready with a pose and smile, but the other two....I tell ya what.

All I ask for is a sweet smile.  

And what I usually get is lots of this from Elsie-Belsie:

I just want Mr. Handsome to sit still for 1/2 second so I can snap one of him...

 But most of the time, he's pulling one of these:

Really shouldn't be so difficult right?  Oh well. Maybe someday they will all sit nicely.  

Soccer

This year Maia decided she wanted to give soccer a try.  It was really fun to go to her games and watch her progress throughout the season.  I have to admit, her team wasn't the best (okay they were pretty bad!) but Maia really did really good.  At first, she wasn't as aggressive as she could (should??) have been (yes I know it is only 5 year old AYSO, but still:) so as a family, we would go to the park for FHE and practice soccer.  She had no problem pushing into David or I, so we tried encourage her to do that in her games (is that bad?)  We knew we had succeeded when during halftime at one game I told her what a good job she was doing.  She turned to me and said, "Ya, I'm even pushing a little." Yesssss!!!

Oh and I realized I'm one of those annoying soccer moms who cheer and yell really loudly from the sideline.  All nice things of course, but loud nonetheless.

Halloween 2012

Well it's only been about a year...have you missed me?? Prob not and I don't blame you!  But something has gotten into me and I all of a sudden feel this urge to document our life better, if for no other reason than my own journal.  So baby steps.  Since Halloween was the most recent big event, we'll start with those pictures.  Below is Elsie dressed up as Merida from Brave.  I love how cute her little face looks with that massive wig haha.

 David got into the habit of coming home from work with a different, horribly scary mask.  Mason was NOT a fan at all.  EVER.  Poor little thing.  Funny thing is, he would find the random masks all over the house and say "dada, dada" like he knew who to associate it with, but just still couldn't handle it when it was actually on him.  I need to put up a picture of him in the Obama mask.  That one is the SCARIEST:) No, but really it is hilarious.  Remind me okay?

After Maia disappointed me last year by only being Pippi Longstocking for her preschool party, she redeemed herself, by personally requesting it again this year:) Success!

And our little pirate.  He is such a fun kid.  ALL boy (i.e. throws EVERYTHING! loves cars, dogs, and his dad:)

Oh and we carved pumpkins too, of course!

Mas had just woken up from a nap and wasn't too thrilled by the whole thing.  Wow, look at that hair.  He has since had a hair-cut in case you were worried.  

 The finished product.  Yeah, we're not that creative or advanced with our carving skills.  But those buck teeth are glow in the dark so that's pretty cool right?
