Once again I'm long overdue for a posting, I've been so bad at blogging lately!! Anyway, yesterday was such a beautiful day here so my friend Kendra and I decided to take our kids to a place called Becker Farms. It has a huge apple orchard, among other things, where you can go and pick your own apples. I absolutely LOVE fresh apples and you really can't beat the price for them either ($20 for about 40-50 pounds of apples). Maia and Xander had a good time and now I am fully stocked on apples...in fact today my friend Megan and I have been making apple butter with them (quite a process, let me tell you!), and I still have plenty more apples to make apple pie, apple crisp, apple sauce, apple whatever-I-want pretty much!! Here are some cute pictures from our little trip....

Maia and Xander posing for the picture--they are really cute together. Maia loves to be with "LucasXander" (Lucas and Xander--Lucas is the older brother, but Maia just categorizes them together or just calls both of them Lucas, it's so funny). Anyway, Maia is always trying to keep up with those boys and copies everything they do!
Maia was so funny with this scarecrow--she just wanted to sit there and kind of look at it, but she wouldn't get too close. I wanted her to sit next to it for a picture, but she was afraid of it or something. I guess we've been reading too many scary Halloween books....

I am definitely in for another trip! I will figure out what to do with all the apples. It was just too much fun!
Oh, I love fresh picked apples!! And apple butter? I'm impressed! I want the recipe. What a fun surprise for David to have his brother come!! Isn't it the best when family comes to visit? It helps when we're oh so far away from everyone! I love the pictures of Maia, she's too cute.
So glad you went there! Fun, we are planning on going next week. I LOVED the pictures and the apples taste so good right now.
Remember that applesauce we made when we got our wisdom teeth pulled?
