So I just have to take a minute to brag about my beautiful girls...I love them so much! Even though they drive me nuts sometimes and definitely test my patience, they are still one of the greatest blessings in life and I don't know what I would do without them. These are their December/Christmas pictures...I haven't posted them until now because things just got so crazy before we left for Utah that I didn't get a chance. Of course, Megan took them for me and of course, they are amazingly wonderful and beautiful! You really need to visit her blog HERE to see all of the amazing things she does!! Thanks Megan, you're the best!
A little about Elsie--She just recently had her 9 month checkup (although she is really 10months now) Here are her stats:
Weight: 21 lbs. 15 oz. (85th percentile--she has slimmed down!!)
Length: 29.5 inches (90th percentile)
Elsie's Favorite things:
*Chasing the broom while I sweep
*Climbing in the dishwasher
*Pulling things out of the fridge or any cupboard
*Taking baths
*Dogs
*Blankets
*Her pink squishy doll
*The treadmill (she loves to watch people run on it and loves to "walk" on it herself...maybe this is why she has slimmed down huh?!)
*Playing with Maia
She is growing up so fast!! She is walking along objects very well now and actually standing on her own for small amounts of time (about 1 min. or so) so I'm afraid walking is right around the corner and I'm not ready for it!! She has also increased her sign language vocabulary to the following:
*milk, all-done, dog, more, eat
Els was being such a stinker when Megan was taking her pictures..she would not smile for anything!! This picture below was FINALLY a little smile. Why do kids have to be so difficult on picture days??
As for Maia...she is still such a sassy and sweet girl at the same time. One minute she's back-talking and driving me crazy and the next minute she's the sweetest thing in the world. I'm dreading the teenage years!! Funny things she's said lately:
*She was getting ready to go outside to play with David. He told her to come to the backyard when she was all dressed in her snow stuff. He went outside and she turned to me and said "He's a great guy." So cute.
*The other day while driving in the car we had this conversation:
Maia: "My breath stinks."
Me: "What did you say?" (not thinking that I heard her correctly)
Maia: "My breath stinks."
Me: "Where did you hear that? Did someone tell you that?"
Maia: "Nobody did. I did. I said, 'Maia, your breath stinks!'"
I couldn't stop laughing with this one! Where does she come up with these things?
And one more:
*I was trying to get her in her carseat and she wasn't cooperating very well. I got frustrated and said "Maia, knock it off!" To that she said, "Well knock my head off!!"
I just burst out laughing, which got her laughing and then everything was okay. Sometimes she knows just the things to do to help me lighten up a bit!

So there are my girls in a nutshell. Love them to pieces!
