Happy Birthday Elsie Grace!

On Monday Elsie turned TWO!! I can't believe she is so big already...it really feels like we just brought her home from the hospital. Time speeds up with every child you have, I'm certain of that! We had a small birthday party for her that night and she sure enjoyed eating up her cupcake and ice cream! This girl definitely loves to eat:) Here are some pictures from the big event:
She wouldn't keep this hat on for more than two seconds, so I'm lucky I got even a couple pictures of her in it!

And a few facts on Elsie at age 2:
-She LOVES babies!! She is always carrying around a baby doll and nurturing it in someway. The minute we walk into the nursery room on Sunday, she goes straight for the cupboard that has the babies in it. I'm a little scared for our how overly motherly and loving she is going to be to our baby!
-She is talking A LOT!! She starting speaking in full sentences about a month or so ago and it is so funny to hear the things that come out of her mouth! Some of our favorites:
* "Bye. See ya!" (these two always go hand-in-hand when she is saying goodbye)
*"Ya, sure." (I had asked her if she wanted a sandwich for lunch)
*Too loud!!!" (she says this all the time when music comes on, etc.)
*Excuse me, water please." (She was trying to get by me to get to her water bottle at church one Sunday)
*HI Maia!! or HI Lilly!! or HI Daddy!! She gets so excited when she sees someone and really emphasizes "HI" and often she runs and gives them a hug too as part of the greeting.
-She LOVES Maia. She would follow her around anywhere and do anything Maia wants her to do. She always asks, "Where's Maia?" when she's not around.
-She is energetic and mischievous and gets into EVERYTHING!! Seriously, the minute it gets quiet, I'm on the hunt to find her and see what she's into.
-She is also very loving and sweet and is so concerned when someone is hurt, or crying, etc. She is the first to run and grab a blankie for Maia when she is sad and she wants to give her hugs and kisses to make everything better.
-She is a snuggler at nap time and bedtime. I love it! I read her some books and then tell her it's snuggle time and she nestles right down into me while I sing to her. I don't want her to grow out of this!!
That's the quick update on little Elsie girl I guess...she keeps me moving and on my toes but we love her to bits and pieces!!!
