Maia Turns 6!

Well it's a good thing I had a few posts in between Maia's birthday post from last year and this one because then you would have REALLY seen how low key everything was this year!  You can't throw a big party every year you know!  Anyway, this year since we weren't doing a party, she decided she wanted to take a couple friends and go get real pedicures.  It was really fun!  I love being able to do that girly stuff with them!

Then on her actual birthday, we usually do breakfast in bed, but this year, we sang to her in bed, but then brought her downstairs where she had a very special birthday girl seat waiting for her.  I let my kids pick out "junk" cereal for their birthday and it's kinda a big deal.  They spend FOREVER at the store carefully browsing the cereal aisle trying to pick the perfect, most sugary one.  I had planned on making pancakes, etc. for her breakfast, but she was adamant that she just wanted to eat her junk cereal (Captain Crunch All Berries) So that made my job easy!  She loved it!

Elsie gave her the Popstar Barbie from Princess and the Popstar (her current favorite movie). From David and I she got Caroline, her first real American Girl doll!! It hadn't arrived yet for her to open it on her real birthday tho:( It's okay, it was worth having to wait two more days to really have it!  She loves it!

Isn't this little birthday set-up the cutest?  My friend Megan gave this special placemat that says Happy Birthday, a birthday plate, and the seat cover to me for my birthday, to use for my kids.  It is a BIG hit!  Maia used that spot all day on her birthday, as well as the next day.  Elsie can't wait for her turn!

Here are Elsie and Mason enjoying their "junk" cereal too:)
Then to top off the birthday, we went to Red Robin's for dinner.  What a perfect day for a sweet little girl.

I miss your family. Maia is absolutely adorable. Does she wear glasses. She looks gorgeous. I wish I looked that good in glasses. I thought about doing something like this for Rylee's birthday. You are such an amazing mom. I have always thought this.
